How much in total, if any, is forecast to be spent on renumeration of Crown appointees in the Minister's departments, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, for the 2026-27 financial year?
Answered by
Hon Chris Bishop
Member for Hutt South · National Party · Minister of Housing
Answer
The forecast renumeration for Kāinga Ora Board members in the 2026/27 financial year is $726,000. The forecast renumeration for Tāmaki Redevelopment Company (TRC) in the 2026/27 financial year is $347,550. This excludes the forecast $48,951 in remuneration for the Council-appointed director. In my capacity as Minister of Housing, I am not responsible for any other departments, agencies, Crown entities, or other bodies. The Member may be aware that I was previously responsible for the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. That responsibility ended when the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development merged into the new Ministry for Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport (MCERT). Responsibility for MCERT now sits with the Minister Responsible for RMA Reform.
