What government support has been offered, if any, to growers in the Hawkes Bay to scope the viability of purchasing the McCain processing facility?

Hon Todd McClay

Answer

The Government has engaged with local councils on their efforts to assist growers. The Ministry for Primary Industries has committed $50,000 towards the first stage of a feasibility study to assess the requirements for a grower-led purchase of the site to be commercially viable.
