Answer

There were no Budget 2026 instructions to the Water Services Authority – Taumata Arowai (the Authority) regarding public service head count reduction targets or baseline savings exercises. As a Crown entity, the Authority is required to exercise fiscal prudence, in line with the enduring Letter of Expectations issued by the Minister of Finance on 23 April 2024.
