The Department of Internal Affairs provided updates to the Minister of Local Government through the weekly status reports about the three water organisations that were expected to publish their water services strategies by 30 June 2026. Those organisations are IAWAI, Tiaki Wai and Selwyn Water and all three have published their respective water services strategy.
