Answer

In my capacity as Minister for National Security and Intelligence, I regularly receive advice from a range of officials including from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet National Security and Intelligence portfolios. I have received no advice from DPMC relating to the BlackSky Global Gen-3 (A260482-PPT), however, in my capacity as Prime Minister, I received general advice on the process for approving permits for outer space payloads under the provisions of the Outer Space and High Altitude Activities Act 2017 (the Act). The Minister for Space is responsible for licencing decisions under the Act. I also refer the member to the response provided by the Minister for Space to Written Parliamentary Question 29814 and 29816 (2026).
