Answer

I am advised that the Firearms Safety Authority undertook an assessment of one brand of push button firearm to determine whether it could be readily modified to operate as a semi-automatic or fully automatic firearm. The assessment found that the firearm could not able to be modified in this way, and it was therefore approved as a non-prohibited firearm.
