Answer

I am advised that, as at June 2024, the Firearms Safety Authority had 16 sworn staff and 535 non-constabulary staff, out of a total workforce of 551. As at 29 June 2026, the Firearms Safety Authority had 12 sworn staff and 499 non-constabulary staff, out of a total workforce of 511. Total workforce figures include all personnel within the Firearms Safety Authority organisational structure, including casual staff, contractors and third-party employees, as well as staff on parental leave at the time. Note, this is not a measure of Full-time Equivalent (FTE) staff.
