Did the Minister consult with NZTA before it decided to exclude elected representatives from SH1 Wellington Improvements Project briefings that were made available to a private commercial entity, and if not, why not?

Answer
I expect NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) to identify stakeholders for the projects that it leads and share appropriate information where necessary. My office was advised that a meeting with Wellington Airport was taking place in June 2025 to discuss the SH1 Wellington Improvements investment case. However, any refusal to provide particular information to an MP is an operational matter for NZTA, and I was not informed of that decision.
