Answer

The MH-60R is made available through the United States Foreign Military Sales Program, a Government-to-Government process that facilitates the sale and export of US defence equipment, services and training. This low-risk procurement option can result in more favourable pricing, both for initial purchase and through-life support. Ongoing engagement will be required with the US Government to sustain an airworthy platform that is interoperable with our ally Australia and partner defence forces.
