Answer

I am advised that the Electoral Commission will include information that voters’ electorate may have changed since the last election in enrolment update packs to be sent to all enrolled voters in August. The electorate where voters are enrolled to vote will be included in the enrolment update letter and in the EasyVote information to be sent to voters in October. People can look up their electorate on updated maps on vote.nz and can also get in touch with the Commission on 0800 36 76 56 to check their electorate. The Commission will continue to use other channels, such as social media and advertising, to encourage all New Zealanders to enrol, check, and update their enrolment details before the 2026 General Election. This activity follows a nationwide public information campaign to support the Representation Commission’s review of electorate names and boundaries that was held in 2025.
