Answer
I am advised that EECA estimates that it will make 8,400 retrofits at a total cost of $15.5 million in Deciles 5, 6 and 7 in the 2026/27 year. This is based on the below analysis: EECA has budgeted to achieve 21,000 overall insulation retrofits in the 2026/27 year. Approximately 40% of these retrofits will take place in Deciles 5, 6 and 7 (this estimate of 40% is based on historical trends. The actual figure will depend on overall market response to the programme and EECA's primary focus remains on delivery into deciles 8-10). Based on 25/26 delivery: Average overall cost of an insulation installation is $3,700 (excl gst). This translates to $1850 when a 50% grant is applied. 40% (Deciles 5, 6 and 7 ) of 21,000 is 8,400 retrofits 8,400 retrofits x $1850 =$15.5mil in 2026/27
