Question

  • On what date was he, or any Minister, first informed of the concerns regarding Immigration NZ's failed biometrics project, and what action did Ministers take in response?

Answered by

Hon Paul Goldsmith

List MP · National Party · Minister for the Public Service and Digitising Government

Answer

As the Minister for the Public Service and Digitising Government, I was first informed of matters relating to Immigration NZ's failed biometrics project on 15 June 2026. The member will need to seek what actions were taken by the Minister responsible for the Immigration portfolio.
