Answer

Consistent with standard conflict management practices, KiwiRail director Scott O’Donnell declared conflicts of interest and a conflict management plan was in place. Mr O'Donnell did not participate in about 17% of the agenda items before the board during his tenure. This information is known due to an Official Information Act request where sufficient time was available to process the question. Please find that response attached. Regarding the wider information requested, it is not possible to provide this level of information within the standard timeframe of a written parliamentary question for any other directors. The member is welcome to seek the information directly from KiwiRail and Ferry Holdings.
