Answer

I am advised that, as at 10 June 2026, the six members of the Ministerial Advisory Board have 49 registered possible conflict of interests with their role. The Conflict-of-Interest register is reviewed monthly at board meetings and is updated if there are any changes. The Board Secretariat is responsible for monitoring this register against the Board work programme to ensure Board members do not inappropriately participate in discussions where they have a potential conflict of interest. I am further advised that, as at 10 June 2026, the 26 Grievance Panel members across nine operational grievance panels have four registered conflicts of interest. These are maintained by the National Grievance Panel Coordinator. The approach taken to managing conflicts of interest for all grievance panels follows Oranga Tamariki and Public Service Commission guidelines.
