How many agenda items, if any, was each director or member of any board, committee, or other body of any agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible excluded from or absent for since 27 November 2023, broken down by organisation, role, whether the director or member was subject to a conflict of interest management plan, the number of items excluded because of a conflict of interest, the number missed for other reasons, and the total number of items the person was present for as a proportion of all agenda items considered during their tenure, as at 10 June 2026?

Answer
I am advised that members of the Charities Registration Board declare conflicts of interest during Board meetings. These are recorded in the Board’s Register of Interests and reflected in Board minutes. Where a conflict requires management, the relevant member is excluded from the related agenda item. Since 27 November 2023, the Chair of the Charities Registration Board has had conflict management arrangements in place for six charitable entities. Across the period to 10 June 2026, those entities were considered across 47 specific agenda items. The Chair was excluded from decision-making on those agenda items and was present for all other agenda items considered by the Board. During the same period, one other Board member declared a potential conflict of interest in relation to one charitable entity. This was recorded in the Register of Interests. As the member was not involved as a decision-maker for that entity, the potential conflict did not require the member to be excluded from, or absent for, the relevant agenda item.
