Answer

The proposals in the Bill are the result of various policy processes, some of which started early in this parliamentary term. As part of those processes, the Ministry of Education undertook initial preparatory work by considering potential implementation requirements associated with the proposals. Further information with implementation advice on the proposals can be found in advice proactively released on the Ministry of Education’s website: https://www.education.govt.nz/our-work/information-releases/issue-specific-information-releases/education-and-training-system-reform-amendment-bill
