Answer

In my capacity as Prime Minister I am the responsible minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, and Vote Minister for Prime Minister and Cabinet. All departments, agencies, crown entities and other bodies are expected to identify opportunities for savings, reprioritisation, and efficiencies as part of business-as-usual activities. The Budget 2026 invitation letters outline the specific savings initiatives that were invited for Budget 2026. These will be released as part of the Budget 2026 proactive release.
