The Ministry of Social Development is required to report on cost pressures as part of the Government’s Performance Plan process. Performance Plans, including information about cost pressures, are under active consideration by Ministers and Cabinet https://www.dpmc.govt.nz/publications/co-24-4-performance-plans-requirements-and-expectations
