Answer

The Ministry of Defence was asked to identify savings of 7.5% as part of Budget 2024 and identified $2 million per annum in ongoing savings. In Budget 2025, the Ministry’s baseline was reduced by $70,000 per annum in relation to contributions to third parties. Nil requirements for the New Zealand Defence Force.
