Answer

As at 8 June 2026, NZTA has approximately eight matters that are with the Compliance and Integrity team that are in preliminary or investigation phases relating to contract mismanagement, conflicts of interest or financial discrepancies. Management also receive queries regarding conflict of interest and financial matters regularly as part of management controls and practices. These are not tracked centrally. There are no active restructure proposals or live consultations relating to these roles at this time.
