Answer
Two new spending initiatives were submitted for Budget 2026: Te Māori Tū - Forging New Trade Relationships Through Showcasing Culture, sought new funding of $10 million over five years. The initiative was fully funded through the reprioritisation of baseline funding; and, Māori Media - Strengthening the Māori Media Sector For A Digital Future And Te Reo Māori Revitalisation, The initiative was funded through a tagged contingency of $48 million over four years. Further details are considered Budget Sensitive and are withheld in accordance with Speaker's Ruling 199/6, as the information is under active consideration and its release would not be in the public interest.
