Answer
Kinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that between 27 November 2023 and 5 June 2026, two people who had previously been Kāinga Ora employees and had left by reason of redundancy were subsequently appointed to a new role – one as a permanent employee, the other as a fixed-term employee. Both arrangements took place with the appropriate approvals in place. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development advises me that the number of people made redundant, and the number of previous employees employed or engaged again by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development is published annually as part of the Estimates for Vote Housing and Urban Development.
