Answer

I am advised that since 27 November 2023, 61 Customs staff have been made redundant. Of these, one staff member was subsequently engaged as a contractor within Customs between May and June 2025. Contracting costs were $1,200 in May 2025 and $1,200 in July 2025. I refer the Member to the attached appendix, which provide a breakdown of the number of staff made redundant through voluntary redundancy and other forms of redundancy since 27 November 2023, by month/year and number of staff.
