Answer

The Department of Internal Affairs has advised me that it is working to assess what, if any, further information relating to the Smith v Fonterra briefing document needs to be captured on the public record to comply with the Public Records Act 2005. I am advised that actions include engagement with a former Ministerial staff member and an assessment of their Parliamentary IT account. I cannot comment further at this time.
