I am advised New Zealand Trade and Enterprise budgeted $1,027,375 for the 2026/27 FY for artificial intelligence (AI) which covers personnel, consultancy, licenses, and staff training expenditure. I am advised that Invest New Zealand, in addition to certain artificial intelligence (AI) data related and license costs already contained in the shared services agreement with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, budgeted $250k for the 2026/27 FY for AI which covers personnel, consultancy, and staff training expenditure.
