I am advised that the Ministry of Education does not further categorise ‘workplace bullying’ allegations. The New Zealand Qualifications Authority recorded three allegations as bullying by a manager towards a staff member. Education New Zealand has had no recorded instances of workplace bullying from 2015 to 2025. I am advised that complaints regarding workplace bullying at the Education Review Office (ERO) were about verbal, social, and cyber bullying. A breakdown by calendar year has not been provided because the number of cases each year is fewer than five and releasing this information could compromise the privacy of individuals .
