Answer

Extended Supervision Order applications are initiated by Corrections through the courts and must be supported by risk assessments, psychological health assessments and evidence that the statutory criteria is met. Corrections considers a person’s full history of compliance with parole conditions when deciding whether to apply for an extended supervision order. This can include reviewing any previous recall decisions, the reasons for those recalls, and whether the person complied with conditions after being re-released.
