Question

  • Why will funding “likely not be required to fund the Apprenticeship Boost”; as outlined in the Apprenticeship Boost – Reprioritisation appropriation?

Answered by

Hon Penny Simmonds

Member for Invercargill · National Party · Minister for Tertiary Education

Answer

The one-off $3 million reprioritised from Apprenticeship Boost in 2025/26 is likely not required due to weaker-than-expected market demand for payments made through the Apprenticeship Boost initiative.
