Answer

I am advised by the Ministry of Health that the information requested for this period is not available in an easily reportable format and would require a substantial manual collation exercise and divert staff from their core duties. In accordance with Speaker’s Ruling 210-6, I consider that the time, and hence the expense, of answering the Member’s question is not in the public interest. I refer the Member to the attached table for the total number of settlements or payouts made by Health New Zealand in relation to bullying and harassment claims from 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2025. Health NZ does not hold data prior to its establishment on 1 July 2022.
