There are 11 outputs funded under the Defence Capability Plan – Small-scale Capability Projects new policy initiative as listed in Part 1.1 of the Budget 2026 Estimates of Appropriations for Vote Defence Force. These include, but are not limited to, equipment to improve Special Forces, Army, and Navy combat capability, and simulation and learning systems to enhance the combat readiness of Defence Force personnel. The majority replace equipment or systems that have reached the end of their economic life or are otherwise not fit for purpose, or maintain current systems, capabilities, and infrastructure.
