What is the forecast capital reduction in housing delivery resulting from the Tāmaki Regeneration Company Delivery Commitments saving in Budget 2026 (which returns $28.0 million of the company's equity funding on the basis that certain development and acquisition is no longer required), expressed as the number of homes no longer to be delivered or acquired and the locations affected, if any?

Answer

As Minister of Housing, I note to maintain a delivery pipeline, Ministers agreed to reprofile TRC’s existing funding. Through this process, $23 million in savings was identified and returned to the centre. The return of funding has no impact on business case delivery commitments of 754 homes and enabling works for up to 468 homes in out years.
