Answer

Kāinga Ora Homes and Communities advises me that prior to the Turnaround Plan (FY2023/24), construction costs were $3,473 per sqm. As at 30 March 2026, actual construction costs are $3,159 per sqm and Kainga Ora is forecasting to reach $2,980 per sqm by the end of this financial year.
