Answer

The Rail Network Investment Programme 2027–2030 – Metropolitan Rail Networks Overdue Renewals initiative was fully funded from reprioritised savings. I am yet to be advised on the specific renewal activities that will be undertaken and I am yet to agree the funding allocation between the Auckland and Wellington metropolitan rail networks. However, I do not expect the review of the Metropolitan Rail Operating Model to change the renewal activities that are funded.
