Answer
While Budget 2026 commits Vote Regulation to deliver on the baseline reduction target for the Ministry of Regulation through reductions in contractors and consultants, and in other operating costs, officials have advised that detailed internal budgets and forecasts are still to be confirmed. The Ministry’s Annual Report for the current financial year, once finalised, will include audited financial statements and actual spend for 2025/26. This is also my response to WPQs 22116 and 23572.
