Answer

I am advised by NZTA that it deferred funding approval for the Pauariki Bridge in September 2024 pending further investigation and design. NZTA then approved funding for investigation, design and professional services in December 2024. However, it subsequently declined funding for the rebuild in April 2026 because it was not providing sufficient value for money.
