Answer

I am advised that Officials from the Ministry of Social Development and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment have been leading work to explore a new initiative aimed at supporting young people at risk of persistent disadvantage. As part of this process, officials have engaged with a range of agencies, including the Ministry of Youth Development and the Ministry of Education. Advice has been provided to Labour Market Ministers, which will be discussed at the next meeting, which is scheduled for late June.
