What work, if any, is being done to boost the dental and dental specialist workforce?

I am advised that Health New Zealand is working with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons to expand training options in public hospitals for three dental subspecialties: paediatric dentistry, special needs, and oral medicine. I am further advised that Health NZ has collaborated with Auckland University of Technology to enable clinical access for students to treat paediatric patients through a new Auckland Regional Dental Service contract.
