Answer

I am advised that the reduction in active full-time equivalent (FTE) staff for the Counties Manukau Prevention group between October 2023 and October 2024 reflected a structural change. A significant number of staff remained in the same (or renamed) positions, but those roles were moved out of the Prevention group’s reporting line and into existing operational areas within Counties Manukau District. The below list breaks down these movements: • 19 staff were moved into the Counties Manukau Central Policing Area. • 20 staff were moved into the Counties Manukau East Policing Area. • 31 staff were moved into the Counties Manukau Policing South Area. • 28 staff were moved into the Counties Manukau West Policing Area. • Seven staff were moved into the Counties Manukau Investigations group. • Six staff were moved into the Counties Manukau Operations Support group.
