Answer

In regards to consultation with the Minister for the Environment, I refer the Member to my reply to written Parliamentary question 19435 (2026). In regards to consultation with the Minister of Health, officials from the Ministry for the Environment directly engaged with the Ministry of Health during development of the proposed amendments. The amendments have been consulted on, but final decisions remain subject to Cabinet consideration and agreement.
