Answer

I have been provided with advice on the inclusion of Structural Insulated Panel systems (SIPs) in Schedule 1A of the Building Act 2004 in briefings, weekly reports, and in meetings with officials. The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) will ensure that its publicly available guidance on non-consented small stand-alone dwellings includes information on SIPs once Schedule 1A has been updated.
