Question

  • What New Zealand providers were assessed in the Ministry of Education’s market scan leading to the conclusion that Learning First should be engaged to provide advice to support the development of the strengthened national curriculum and how were they assessed?

Hon Erica Stanford

Answer

I am advised that the Ministry of Education undertook a search of the All of Government Consultancy Panel under the Policy, Research and Development subcategory. No New Zealand based provider was identified as meeting the requirement for independent, international education sector experience that was available to deliver the specific services within the timeframe required.
