Have there been any delays in processing Out of School Care and Recreation (OSCAR) Subsidy payments this year; if so, how long have delays been and why have they occurred?

Answer

I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) that obtaining this information would require substantial collation and engagement and would divert Ministry staff from their core duties. In accordance with Speaker’s Ruling 210/6, I consider that the time required, and hence the expense of answering the Member’s question is not in the public interest. I am further advised that the Ministry generally processes applications within five working days of receiving the final piece of required information. This is also my response to WPQ 16529 (2026)
