I am advised by the National Emergency Management Agency that further recovery funding is being actively progressed through existing agency mechanisms. This includes transport network recovery, iwi-led community recovery, environmental remediation, and housing. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has already committed funding for the deployment of 36 temporary housing cabins in the region.
