Answer

Department of Internal Affairs: I am advised by the Department of Internal Affairs that the attached table outlines the litres of LPG consumed to power or heat buildings by financial year. Classification Office: I am advised by the Classification Office that they do not use LPG for heating/power. Lotto NZ: I am advised that Lotto NZ Headquarters are fully powered by electricity. Fire and Emergency New Zealand: I am advised that Fire and Emergency New Zealand records LPG consumption on a financial year basis. LPG for commercial use is typically measured in kilograms, and the data is therefore provided in that unit. This information is derived from emissions reporting using the best available data. It includes LPG used for purposes other than powering or heating buildings, such as live fire training, and may not capture all bottled LPG use due to distributed purchasing arrangements. On this basis, LPG used to power or heat buildings is estimated as outlined in the attached table.
