Answer
I am advised that it is not possible to compare between kilowatt hours of electricity, kilograms of LPG, litres of diesel and tonnes of coal in percentage terms of energy used. However, I am further advised that Corrections can report on actual volumes of energy sources. I refer the member to the attached table which provides the composition, in actual volumes, of energy sources to power or heat buildings for each financial year from 2019/20 to 2024/25. This is also my response to WPQ 15145 (2026), WPQ 15148 (2026), WPQ 15155 (2026), WPQ 15159 (2026), and WPQ 15163 (2026).
