In my capacity as Prime Minister, I am the responsible minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). I am advised that the Chief Executive of the DPMC, in an email dated 17 June 2025, requested that officials undertake a process to consider the designation of the American Proud Boys under the Terrorism Suppression Act 2002. This email is released as part of the suite of documents Proactive Release: Designation of American Proud Boys as Terrorist Entity - Key Documents – August 2025 – Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet
