Answer

For the purposes of the Transitional Support for Strategically Important Provision Fund, all foundation education provision is deemed strategically important. Identifying strategically important provision under Delivery at Levels 3 to 7 (non-degree) on the NZQCF (DQ3-7) Fund required TEC to determine priority industries. TEC determined these priority industries to include: Agriculture, Horticulture, Primary Industries, Fishing, Trades, Construction, Engineering, Health and Wellbeing, Science, Nursing, Veterinary Nursing, Transport, and Architectural Technology. The Minister for Vocational Education determines the use of section 556 grant funding.
