Hon Mark Mitchell

Answer

I am advised that a range of agencies deal with landslides and slips depending on their location and possible impact on life, infrastructure and/or other property. I am also advised that since 2023, national‑level capability has been strengthened through improved science advice arrangements, including the establishment of dedicated Science Advisory Panels covering a range of hazards, including landslide expertise. The National Emergency Management Agency is a member of the Landslide National Advisory Group.
