Question

  • How many litres of diesel, if any, did vehicle fleets in the Minister’s department’s, agencies, crown entities or any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, consume in 2025?

Hon Casey Costello

Answer

I refer the Member to the attached appendix, which shows the total litres of diesel used by Customs’ fleet (including land-based vehicles and maritime vessels) for each of the past six financial years, from 2020 to 2025. The information in the response is based on Customs’ financial year (July to June) rather than a calendar year (January to December). This is consistent with the reporting period required by the Carbon Neutral Government Programme. This is also my response to Written Parliamentary Questions 14479 (2026), 14487 (2026), 14488 (2026), 14489 (2026) and 14501 (2026).
