The requested information cannot be provided within the required timeframe as would require diverting resources from departmental priorities and service delivery, which I do not consider would be in the public interest. However, I am advised that at 8 April 2026, approximately 10% of the NZDF vehicle fleet was petrol vehicles, and approximately 81% was diesel vehicles. The remainder are electric vehicle variants and those where fuel type is not recorded.
